on 21st February, 2026, H.E. Professor Mrs. Esi Awuah met with the executives of the Ghanaian Community in Geneva, led by Mr. Obodai. They engaged in meaningful discussions on enhancing diaspora participation in Ghana’s development and creating stronger economic and cultural linkages between Ghana and Switzerland.

The association reaffirmed its commitment to mentoring young Ghanaians abroad, nurturing their connection to home, and encouraging active involvement in investment and nation-building initiatives. Her Excellency highlighted business opportunities in Ghana and encouraged members to explore viable prospects in Switzerland, particularly within the transport and food sectors.

Plans for continued engagement, both virtual and in person, were discussed, alongside early preparations toward Ghana’s 70th anniversary celebrations next year. The warm reception, thoughtful Swiss gifts and shared Ghanaian favourites, Jollof and Waakye, made the meeting especially memorable.
