The Ambassador engaged the Ministry of Health to facilitate the clearance and distribution of donated medical supplies to healthcare institutions across Ghana.
Discussions with the Minister for Health resulted in directives to ensure the timely processing and distribution of a 40-foot container of medical supplies to the intended beneficiaries. The engagement also created an opportunity to address broader policy issues relating to the coordination of medical donations from Ghanaian missions abroad.
In addition, the visit led to the initiation of a collaboration between academia and the private sector, following discussions with Mr. Fiifi Koomson, an accomplished farmer who manages a 270-acre oil palm plantation, to provide practical training opportunities for students in agricultural engineering, thereby strengthening skills development and applied learning.
Outcome: Accelerated clearance and distribution of medical supplies, progress toward establishing structured donation guidelines, and facilitation of practical training opportunities for students.
