The Head of Mission, H.E. Prof. Mrs. Esi Awuah, participated in the New Year’s Reception for the Diplomatic Corps in Switzerland on 14th January, 2026.

In his remarks, the President of the Swiss Confederation, H.E. Guy Parmelin, outlined three priorities for his presidential year: strengthening relations with key trading partners, diversifying bilateral relations, and reaffirming Switzerland’s commitment to peace and stability as a neutral mediator. As a key trading partner, Ghana’s economic priorities strongly align with Switzerland’s objectives, particularly in deepening trade relations and promoting international peace and security.
