On 26th February, 2026, H.E. Professor Mrs. Esi Awuah visited Swisscontact in Zurich, an organization with a strong and longstanding presence in Ghana. She was accompanied by the Deputy Head of Mission, the Head of Chancery and the Mission’s driver.
The primary purpose of the visit was to express appreciation for Swisscontact’s valuable contributions to development efforts in Ghana and to discuss opportunities for strengthening skills development, particularly among youth in cocoa-growing areas. The discussions also explored ways of integrating additional agribusiness opportunities to support livelihoods and promote sustainable economic growth.
The engagement further covered programs that support women entrepreneurs as well as initiatives that promote improved hygiene practices among young girls.
Her Excellency expressed appreciation for the opportunity to meet the dedicated Swisscontact team in Zurich. Swisscontact maintains an office in Accra and interested individuals and organizations are encouraged to contact them directly for further information on their programs in Ghana.
