The Embassy participated in the 9th round of the Ghana-Switzerland Political Consultations held in Berne on 3rd March, 2025. For the first time, the meeting included a virtual participation for Ghana delegates who would not participate physically. The Political Consultations explored areas of cooperation, including bilateral and economic cooperation; Cooperation in the field of democracy and human rights; Stability and Security in the Subregion; Engagement of Ghana in West Africa; Engagement of Switzerland in West Africa; Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre; Regional Integration / ECOWAS; Cooperation in the UN (incl. UN Security Council; Human Rights Council; Candidatures; African Union; Francophonie (Lead CH), among others. The programme concluded with a lunch meeting, which was used to discuss issues that were not addressed during the first session.
